Oops

snow.jpgI'm not suprised to say that I didn't make it to the gym today.  Thought about it all evening with some dread, which isn't suprising.  I like to think starting fresh at the gym much like jumping into a cold lake.  There is hesitation about the big plunge, but once you get in it isn' all that bad.

Now it's not like I just totally whimped out.  I did have the best intentions but Mother Nature had a little suprise up her sleeve this morning for me.  The first thing I did after dragging my lazy ass out from those nice cozy sheets was take a look out the window.  I always do that.  What do I see but snowflakes the size of chocolate chip cookies falling from the sky and about two to three feet of snow on the ground.  Okay, so I lied about the feet thing and it was really two to three inches.  Did it again.  More like an inch but I didn't have my contacts in.

You might be thinking that I have used the snow thing as an excuse for not going.  Right you are.  I know I could've driven there without much problem but I swear there was at least five feet of snow.

This is what I go through the first few days of getting back into the gym.  It's just torture and it not any easier when I get to the gym.  But I know that I'll make it and within a couple of weeks the addiction will be back and my big problem will be going to the gym too much.Until then I just have to get there three or four times and everything will be running smooth.

So, tomorrow is Day 2 on Day3 and well see what happens.  They say it's going to snow again.

At least six feet.
